Send it on down the road. It seems you have plenty of other projects to spend money and time on. Realistically, do you think you would ever finish that one? Edit- I just saw the front suspension and frame, for sure, let it go.
Seeing you previous work i have no doubt you can make it nice again ,but do you realy want to take in another project?
a custom 33-36 Willys 77 RPU Hello, KEEP IT… With your skills and at***ude, how about making the pick up into a roadster pickup? The lower half looks salvageable or at least fixed up with your skills and determination. So, let that top go and make one of the only 33-36 Willys 77 model roadster pickup trucks. I was working on my own version of an art RPU and liking the front end of the 77 model Willys truck/coupe/sedan morphed it into my drawing. For modifications and finishing, art work is less expensive, but it does take time to make changes and create something different. In following your other hot rod builds, your skills and determination is outstanding. So, instead of finding old 33-36 sheet metal from a wreck or wrecked more, why not just cut off the top and create a one of a kind RPU? or the no top version... Jnaki Trucks/vans/sedans/coupes are all in the 33-36 Willys builds from all over and also in the late 60s drag racing scene. We have also seen them in car shows and plenty of photos from all over. But, no one has created a nice RPU. Just a thought, but the idea, allowed me to finish what I started several months ago on my various RPU art phase. some color to a new design… An idea pops into my brain and sits there until a sketch is roughly drawn. Then shaped to give a little detail and more to the finish mode. With several different sketches from other designs in the hot rod world, it gets a little jammed up in the “old noggin.” So, some take a nice vacation until something wakes up and pokes me to get it finished. Note: A long time ago, I wanted to draw a 1932 RPU with full fenders. But the result was disastrous. Nothing worked and after many changes, this extended cab, no fenders, 32 RPU was created. Knowing how much a real RPU in just about any model Ford was going to be a little cramped for someone 6 feet or larger, some got the extended body treatment without losing the proportions. The shortened bed is just right for two suitcases and/or photo equipment. Good luck on your new project and direction… YRMV
