My 1934 ford sedan project has about a 2 1/2 inch chop. I ordered a complete set of stock height gl*** kit. Can any reputable gl*** shop cut down my front and back gl***? I'm I going to need to make patterns for them to follow? I have no idea how to proceed.

If it is safety gl*** (laminated) a good gl*** man should be able to cut it. Yes, it would be best to make a pattern.

If you have the stock height gl***, make a cardboard pattern from it. Cut the cardboard horizontally across the middle and overlap it by 2 1/2". Check the fit in your frame and in the window openings to make sure it is correct.

Flat windshield should be no problem for a gl*** guy.

    This is a great tip.

When I chopped my 47 ford coupe I just ordered all new flat safety gl*** cut to the templates I had made and provided. Was not that expensive really and had a local gl*** shop do it.
