Customs Pontiac 268 Straight eight parts

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Gasolinedeniz, Nov 8, 2023.

  1. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows a good source for Pontiac 268 parts? I need cylinder head bolts, an ignition distributor and various small parts, cylinder head bolts. Maybe someone here has the parts or knows where I can get them.

Are they bolts or studs. Fasteners are not rocket science, just common sense.
If studs you buy them from ARP by searching lengths and threads. Use their hardened washes and nuts too.
If cap screws (bolts) measure the correct length and threads and buy grade 8 Allen’s from McMaster Carr. I’d still get the washers from ARP.
Egge in So Cal can help. So can Kanter with engine parts…..neither are cheap but your working with obsolescence…..Good luck.

I wish you could stop by my house and pick up the one I took out. Its from a 51 pontiac. Good engine and trans just had a leaky rear seal. I dont really want to part it out though
