Hi all, looking for anyone info. from an old catalogue for a 1965 era Sig Erson 990B, solid lifter cam. It did have 320 degrees duration. Double checking from the "book" about the lift. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much, Bob
What year is that Sig Erson cam catalog "snipit" from, egads? I had a 990BH (H=hydraulic) in my 1965 Nova (purchased new from Harry Mann Chevrolet in SoCal with a dealer-installed 350hp/327) and ~ altho I wuz wrong once B4 ~ I seem to recall the lift being "only" .420" (IIRC, the solid-lifter version was .430"). I purchased it directly from Sig Erson himself, at his first cam facility in SoCal (Inglewood?).......after asking Bill Jenkins at the Winternationals what he was running in his famed '66 Nova. <shrug>
I LOVED my Erson 990BH!! It was installed advanced (4° @ cam?), yielding a very strong mid-range. The car was a 3100lb daily driver with Davis headers, Schiefer diaphragm clutch, Muncie 4 spd, 4.88 gears (12-bolt), and homemade "******* bars" (with reinforced spring perches). It ran a best of 12.20/112-113 at Lion's back in the mid-60s with the little OEM 585cfm Holley.
