I'm so close to being done the rewiring project on my '61, with the last item being brake lights.

There's a Brake SW and Brake SW Power that I've run to the master cylinder.

In the turn signal bundle, there's a white Brake Lght wire. It's only a few feet long, and I'm wondering where it needs to go. Does it need to be extended to the rear of the truck?

    Most likely brake light switch.

Yes, the Brake SW and Brake SW power are already going to the brake light switch.

    Normally...

Brake Switch Power connects to one terminal on the brake light switch. The other side of the brake light switch connects to the turn signal switch. Inside the turn signal switch, this wire is connected to the wires that go to both rear brake lights.

You didn't mention whether or not you have a turn signal switch, or where that other wire you connected to the brake light switch, goes to.

we can't see over your shoulder, so you have to provide more information...

Might your short white brake light wire be for a third brake light? I'm assuming the car doesn't have brake lights as such, but combined brake and turn signals as controlled by the turn switch.

@Happydaze yes, you're correct. The truck has combined brake and turn signals. With Brake SW and Brake SW power running to the brake light switch, at the master cylinder, perhaps the single brake wire will need to be connected to the rear (yellow and green) signal wires?

There is a separate wire for a third brake light, though it's just tucked away, with the other unused wires.

    Thank you,

A test light would be your best friend . If your brake lights dont run through the turn signal switch, your brake and signal lights wont operate correctly

Your turn signals work through the brake lights. The turn switch needs a brake light wire to work. Call rebel wire. They are some of the most knowledgeable and helpful people you'll ever have a chance to work with. They have saved me multiple times. They will always have my business.

I have used Rebel Wire kits previously and was very satisfied with the product quality and especially with their after the sale service. I live about 70 miles from Rebel Wire headquarters so I went there today to purchase a wiring kit for my roadster and I must say I was very impressed with their service, and operation. I had called them yesterday afternoon to ask a few questions about the wiring kit I wanted and they answered right away (no frustrating computerized answering to navigate) and were more than willing to spend time guiding me to the correct kit, and even offered to make some changes to it to fit my exact needs at no extra charge. When I inquired what the wait time would be they said none come by and pick it up in the morning. When I arrived my order was not only waiting for me but I got a tour of the operation. I can highly recommend their products and their service is top quality. Sorry I didn't get any pictures, but it really did happen.

They're about 20 miles from me and I'm impressed every time I talk to them. They had no problem making me a 6-volt kit with heavier wiring. Some of the other vendors kept trying to steer me to a 12-volt system.

The white (Brake) wire in the turn signal bundle goes to the brake wire on your turn signal indicator. Call Rebelwire, Jeremy is top notch and knows his stuff.
