Looks like a 55 Custom. Lowest on Mercury’s totem pole and a sport coup too. Shared the top with the 55 Merc Monterey and 55 Ford Victoria. The 55 Montclair got the 55 Ford Crown Victoria top lines without the post.. In 56 the top style was gone on on all models and the 56 FOMOCO picked up better aero on the higher speed racetracks across the country. GM didn’t change their top style until 1959.
