...It's an inspiration of a Hotrod really, nothing more nothing less...the race cl*** lettering which I believe what your basing your question on is a play on the Theme, A modified Roadster or another interpretation Model A, Hotrodded Roadster(A/MR)...period...I don't think for a minute the owner enters it in any racing events relating to a Cl*** as you know that...there's no sense of humor for many things Hotrod...how about the brakes...where's the rollbar, it's an Inspiration in Hotrod...but I will say nothing has changed as questioning Art is as Traditional as apple pie...;)

Art has no rules and can be reason for discussion both positive and negative...here we are...

A/MR...Aspirated/Modified Roadster is the correct definition of the Cl*** Lettering IF it truly was one...if I'm not mistaken...Since you are up on such things please verify for anyone interested. There's even a chance the owner is well aware of that.

Tommy Lee car with Dick Nowell driver.jpg

    https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/old-hot-rods-photos.1038554/page-2#post-11760673

...this was one cool Hotrodder and Hotrod, Tommy Lee's Frank Kurtis Modified Cord...his is a sad story too, but this image a stunning moment in the Big Picture...the Cord still around too...This pic has a twist though...

Quoted below...from the Late Hamber DND (Don Nowell)

"My Uncle **** Nowell got a ride in the Tommy Lee speedster as this is him talking to the Offy Engine man out on the dry lake bed in the early 40's"

   ...Wouldn't that have been a blast...RIP Don

It's not the first time around for this wild thing here but I welcome revisits...

Think about it, IF the trunk lid wasn't lovered, and /or unlatched, it would LIFT rear of car, at speed.

like an airplane wing, or like FATJACKS '46 Ford Coupe, when it crashed.
