I was going through the So Cal book and ran across this picture of the engine bay of the lakester that shows the hydraulic throttle and gas tank. I assume all this stuff came form WWII surplus that was widely available at the end of the war.

Does anyone know what airplane these are from? Though it looks similar, the tank doesn't look like the common B17 oxygen tank. The hydraulic throttle is a mystery has me stumped.

Didn't Eelco do a hydraulic throttle? But, their source of parts could have been surplus military.

I thought Eelco came around 1950, this was built in the late 40's and similar setups were used on other lakesters. What is interesting is you see what appears to be a fluid line going towards the throw out bearing. Could they have run a hydraulic throw out bearing ?

The tank is still a mystery and I have only seen this type of tank only on keesters of that era.
