hi ya'll once again i need the advice of the pros on this site. so i'm working on my 51 shoebox. i've installed the disc brake conversion kit from shoebox central and i'm now trying to install the master cylinder upgrade kit required for the disc brake conversion. i'm using the under floor kit from shoebox central and while their site has some great photos for the install, it shows the process for a automatic trans and i'm using the 3spd B.W. overdrive in my car. the info i'm after is the placement of the stock ford clutch cross shaft support and how it is installed. i think i have it figured out but, i was hoping someone might have a picture of what that part looks like and also what it looks like installed. any help would be great. cheers!
well i thought i'd post a pic of how i have it installed. i think its correct. maybe i'll get some feedback or maybe it will help someone else, assuming it's correct! thanks
I made my own setup, I gutted the original master cylinder and run the pushrod through it and original clutch linkage with an adapter plate on the T5
On a lot of cars that have the master cylinder part of the clutch or brake pedal linkage, gutting the original master and running a push rod through it to the new master is traditional. And way easier than re engineering the entire pedal setup.
