Awesome set @Jimmy B...I see a Harvard parked there in a dusty fog...must have been break time from Training...man, when the color comes in it really makes it a little tougher to date it...clarity adds to that as well...

To all Hambers posting, thanks in advance for being a little more date conscious...I'm even surprised This Thread is on the Hokey Ass Forum...But then again Rockerhead had a Cord...Thats one of the things about back then there was a little more openness for diversity...I could be wrong about that though...

Update/Correction; I mentioned Harvard which is incorrect. The US varient of Harvard is called the T6 Texan.

Thanks @Jimmy B ...captured youth and the culture of Go Fast and more really...I see some movers and shakers in those pics but they all had their own rock n' roll happening, they fed off one another...it was quite a Time in the Big Picture...Postwar...many didn't make it back...and and...

Might be a Harvard, but considering where it is, more than likely it's a T-6 Texan. Wouldn't really know unless you looked inside at the stick, huh?

Thanks Alan, I wasn't aware of that, I stand corrected...thank you...it's not to often near clones of the same product are called complete different names...but here's a clear example of it. I'm sure they are configured differently in many ways but thats cool.

...that Hotrodder really looks a lot like Fonzie so I guess it's @dana barlow and coincidentally its a modified T I'm thinking, somewhat similar to his Model A from that angle...on top of that your Hotrod is even similar @A Boner...

@Jimmy B the clarity of so many of the images you have shared is almost surreal...

It also more than conveys how finessed many of those rides were...some/many looked showworthy...

Your collection is incredible...Isky's Cover on that Roadster is quite a rare moment to have been captured...Is that the roadster that was seen together with Isky's Hotrod at a outdoor event in recent times... It had an odd windscreen...

  11. Most likely taken with a quality camera also majority of what I have post last couple days are scanned from negatives, so retain a clearer definition than scanning photos. They do have a surreal quality and look as though they were taken recently not 75 years ago.

The quality shows through and present quite nicely

    Thank you!
Yes that is John Athans A before he built the windshield from a Mopar or Oldsmobile rear window, not sure where John's roadster is now, Isky's T is in the Speedway Museum. Dennis Taylor recently built a cool tribute for the 75th anniversary of 'Isky Cams' don't know if you saw that.

...Yes I did indeed see that tribute...It was very admirable. I once shared a saved pic of John's Roadster at an event with Isky's T...It may have been an event that well known Hagarty fella was at driving Isky's T... Wayne Carini believe...modern times but connected...absolutely...

  13. @Stogy here is a pic of Mark Craven sprint car, I believe the engine is Ford flathead 6 with unknown OHV head, maybe Mark's own design, look in the left of photo, John's roadster. All connected even back then

That's another gem of a photo @Jimmy B ...the racer quite a work of Art really, and genius of course...and in the background a near hidden surprise...yeah those fellas were driven and lived life large really, many making it back and given another chance or being pretty close to it all influenced them...thank you for sharing these...

...This is their Roadster but it doesn't mention who's in it...

@Jimmy B is really good at picking out who's who in the crowd...I will say the shot of him in the pic before this one of him in the Roadster shows the two to have similar hair on top...

Paging @The37Kid, The front fenders on this cool old Hotrod are the same as on that oddball 29 Roadster a ways back, blueish color if I remember correctly...
