Technical hobart welder model tl182

    does any one have any info on this welder about settings any info would be great thank you hobart tl182

    Never seen one but is this the unit in question? Self explanatory. Work = ground cable (clamp) Electrode = welding stick holder. IMG_2312.jpeg

    I used to work for the largest Hobart distributor. That’s a really old machine. Several years ago, Hobart was purchased by the same company that owns Miller (ITW), and all the industrial/HD type machines were sold to another company ( I think Prestolite, and I don’t think they even exist any more). Today, Hobart only makes wire, electrodes, and the small hobby type machines. I don’t think they even have records of the old stuff any more. Good luck with your search. And maybe a photo of the front panel could help us help you.

    BITD........when I was still pretending-to-work, there was a Hobart water cooled TIG machine in the shop.
    Man! was that a sweet welding machine ...
    OP welding machine prolly has 60-70 lbs of clean copper inside the machine.
    Jus say'in !
