I'm searching for information on one of "**** Magoo's" 32 Ford Roadster builds. It was a very unusual one, Powered by a Olds 5.7 Diesel. There is plenty of info on the "Deucari" which won the AMBR in 1977, but not much on the "DESEL 32".

**** Magoo was contracted to build the Roadster by Chuck Boyle who owned a Diesel Trucking Company here in California. The sticky part was Boyle convincing **** to use a GM 5.7 diesel engine known to have many failure issues. Once **** agreed to use the diesel, he sent it to an engine shop to have all of the GM weaknesses beefed up. The car was built and driven a lot. It made it to the LA Roadster Show four times, twice to Deuce Days in Victoria BC, and once to Bonneville. **** was known for building show quality cars that could be driven anywhere. I guess you could say it p***ed the road test.

Yesterday I happened to see a post here from 2011 by Jonnie King that said this...
" **** explains the change of Pinks in the Interview. Then he talks about building what could be called the "DEUSIL"...which REALLY happened ! This you gotta hear !!
    http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage96.html "

I tried the link, but didn't find the interview.

Here is what the car looked like when completed

I now own the car and here is what it looks like now. Different wheels and tires and scallops added, but everthing else is original.

    Welcome to the Hamb!
This section is for introductions so those who might be able to answer your question may not see it here.
I would suggest posting a proper introduction here in this thread and then post your question on the main board with a ***le that would attract those familiar with the car.
Nice car btw would love to hear more about it.

cheers from germany, guess it's going to be hard to find more info on this unique rod. I just read the rules now and coz everythin is about pre 65 and traditional stuff only maybe a member has an idea where to find the correct forum or page for your sweet ride to learn more. also as I dont really like diesels I'd like to see some pix of the motor and a video coz it looks really interesting n likeable.

Guess I got started on here without reading the "rules". I was just trying to find out some information on a members previous post concerning a particular 1932 Ford Roadster that I happen to now own. The fact that it isn't a "traditional" hot rod made it not welcome here. I appologize.
However, I have built and owned several traditional hot rods since I was a teenager. My first build was a 1923 "T" when I was just out of high school and many more. My latest aquisition is a very nice older build 1934 Ford 5 Window Coupe with lots of character and patina.
