I just heard yesterday that one of our great artists and crazy hot rodder Aden Jacobi p***ed away at the age of 62. Aden was known to be able to sit down and quickly sketch your car on the spot and also was involved in a lot of other artistic endeavours. He did many of the posters for our Beachfest event and was heavily involved in early Model A jalopy racing and other events including the recent Model A run to Gulgong NSW. Here is an interview with Street machine some years ago https://www.streetmachine.com.au/features/artist-aden-jacobi-interview He also produced a series on iconic early Aussie hot rods and I am fortunate to have one of the original sets (7/50). He also did my Hudson during the build process top show what it would look like as a finished car. Same for my roadster and I also have 4 of the Beachfest posters. A very talented man gone too soon.
Wow…sorry for your loss. Looks like he was quite a talented guy. Praying for comfort for his family and friends.
A very gifted shining star. In this age, He was still young. That action shot tells it. Sorry He has been lost.
So sorry to hear that @hudson48 a terrific talent gone too young. I also have a set of his early Aussie hot rod series plus the original of my T-bucket that was featured in the series. I only met Aden the once when he was in this area visiting Eddie Ford of Custom Rodder magazine fame but it was great to catch up with him and since then I've seen his art and concept drawings in Street Machine magazine. Condolences to his family, friends and club members.
So sad to hear this, I had only ever spoken to him over the phone, he did some fantastic art work. Condolences to family and friends.

This is the final chapter. Yesterday family and friends ***embled for the Celabration of the life of Aden Jacobi. It was an incredible turnout of maybe 500 people including many members of the Club Aden helped form called The Asphalt Demons. It was held at the airfield north of Brisbane where Aden and his friends regularly ran his Jalopy events. The offical MC and friend did an excellent job at showing what a well loved and talented man Aden was. His family, brother and sister and his two daughters told of Adens early life and his transition to Queensland and his love of family and friends. Aden was definitely "out there" in his personality and this is shown in his pursuit of hot rod activities and his art. What a great event to honor a truly well loved and talented man. Here are some photos and one fitting one to finalise this. On the next page will be some of the cars at the event including some historic Aussie hot rods.
Thank you for such respect of my dad! I've now had the 'the end' photo tattooed. We are currently planning a fundraising car show for anyone that would like to come along. https://www.facebook.com/share/zhWLNUK6zDHK7dJA/?mibextid=9VsGKo
