    Hello,

To start off the holiday “RED” car season, here is a version of a sedan delivery from a 1962 custom Thunderbird Sports Roadster. As high school seniors, the winter season was fast approaching. My friend’s mom wanted a new car. She had been seeing our cool teenage hot rods and sedans. So, she wanted a new car to start the holiday season. Her daily driver was a nice car, but it was a couple of years old. And it was already labeled “Mommy’s car…” This custom T-Bird could be anyone’s car not just mommy’s custom T-Bird.

She got a bright red version with the cool headrest top accessory. It was a two seater that her son and I drove around for couple of memorable road trips. When he wanted to take a couple of passengers, then the head rests came off. Now, it was a lowered 4 teenager cruiser.

At first, I wanted to see what the standard full size top would look like, added to the sports roadster. It was different, but in reality, the sedan delivery version would have given the T-Bird more options for daily and weekend usage.

But, as a custom car person, I decided to slightly chop the whole top to make it more proportional to the sleek styling.

Chopped to lower the air turbulence, as well as give it some attitude. Perhaps the local milk delivery guy would have gone bonkers to be able to deliver the valuable glass bottles of milk to this neighborhood, especially on the Christmas Winter vacation days… YRMV

    A T-Bird Sedan Delivery for the masses…

My two Great Grands drew these from one of my drawings. I was blown away at there talent. 7 and 9 years old. Eli 7 and Rowen 9. I gave Rowan some of my art books when she was 5 and she has been drawing ever since. Young Eli is following in her foot steps. 20231127_170043.jpg

Some line-drawings from old car show flyers I've done over the years. Most of this stuff was only used once or twice...many years ago. So as always, if you have any use for it, feel free to use it. 0.35.jpg

A HAMB and fish sandwich this week. I had a wild haired brain storm idea for a HAMB friendly Beta Fish, traditional drag-way tarmac terror. I'm not convinced about the bad fish in the driver's seat...

Using a variation of this for Christmas cards this year. currently at the print shop!
