Ain't it stupid what they want for small block fenderwell headers man? Big block is half price, makes no sense

    How's the accident recovery?

Any progress on the build, even collecting parts?

Hopefully that knee comes around! Take care of your body, but I'm glad we'll get to see some progress on the car too!

Be careful about doing much outside if you have an open lawsuit. I was followed all over the place by lackeys that worked for the other insurance company.

That is very good. I had a Progressive lackey on my front stoop waving a $1000 check in my face to let it go. I noted that I was followed to the gym (I only did my PT recommended exercises), I saw cars parked down my dead end, I was followed to work. Finally I did my deposition at my lawyer's office, the examiner crawled up my *** and out my left eyelid, but I got paid.

Got started on traction bars for 9in went with a 2.5x1.5 rectangular tubing and some 3/8s thick plate to fab them up IMG_8257.jpeg IMG_8269.jpeg IMG_8278.jpeg Went to the s**** pile and cut off the old bottom shock mounts to finish it off! Bump stops ordered should be here next week

Nicely done. I have a set of eBay knock-offs on my car. I have had a couple of old-timers tell me that they would extend them so that the snubber hits under the front eye mounting of the spring.

I think yours will work fine. The plates on mine are a 1/4" thick. My caltrac design, I'll be using 5/16" plate.

Switched it up a little bit and did some table top welding. Was gifted a B&M Quicksilver shifter for the build from a family friend 20231208_070235.jpeg
We took it apart and put it where lumpy63 thought it should belong 20231208_133537.jpeg The trash! Don’t want to hate on it but it really wouldn’t look good with the way we are going with this build but we did like the ratcheting mechanism of it and for this budget build we use what we got. So I took some 16ga stainless steel sheared and bent up a couple pieces for a new housing 20231208_055131.jpeg IMG_8296.jpeg IMG_8297.jpeg IMG_8295.jpeg Coming together pretty quickly I got everything tacked up and then was ready to weld. I think it came out pretty good and will add some old school B&M stickers to age it just a little IMG_8299.jpeg IMG_8298.jpeg now just need to find a old shift knob to finished it off but I’m sure lumpy63 has something laying around ;)
