For your consideration is an extremely rare 1945 Ford Pickup truck. There were less than 20,000 of these trucks built and they were the first new trucks off the Ford ***embly line right after the last military Jeep. You needed to have a business to purchase one of these vehicles, such as a working farm, sawmill, lumber yard, etc., these were not directly available to the public. This truck left the Ford plant with a mighty V8 engine as the first numbers in the VIN denote. There was still a shortage of rubber and steel after WWII so this truck did not come with a side mount spare tire.

This truck has undergone extensive upgrades. It has a powerful Flathead stroker V8 with plenty of hotrod speed equipment. The entire wiring system is new and has been upgraded to a 12 volt system. The truck fires right up and runs great with plenty of power and that great Flathead sound. The new exhaust is fully welded, mandrel bent, with Fenton headers and Smithy mufflers. The manual transmission has been completely rebuilt as well. Later model self energizing brakes have been added for extra stopping power and the axle has been adjusted for extra camber which results in better steering and return to center of the steering wheel.

The gauges all work and have been completely restored and a retro style Rocket tachometer has been added. When the gauges were restored the odometer was set to the original reading, approximately 42,000. I ***ume that’s the original mileage but due to its age I really have no way of knowing. There are many original accessories as well, a vintage flip away suicide knob, steering column flashlight holder, restored and functioning heater and a toolkit with Ford script tools. The American red oak bed has been hand rubbed and really compliments this truck.

With an aluminum radiator, new water pumps and electric fan the engine never runs hot. It has a high torque starter, Optima battery and an alternator that has the old school looks of a generator. The engine has been completely rebuilt with a 4" stroke Mercury crank, Ross dome top pistons, Thumper cam, Lincoln Zephyr valve springs, Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake manifold. The ignition is fired by a powerful MSD ignition system.

This truck has the modern amenity of an app controlled, JVC Bluetooth stereo with hands free calling, conveniently hidden in the glove compartment. It sounds great with a four speaker Mopar Infinity speaker system, also hidden out of sight. The windshield wipers have been upgraded from vacuum to a reliable electric Newport engineering two speed system.

I would encourage anyone who is interested to come see and inspect the truck for themselves. If you are buying this vehicle and need it shipped I can be available anytime to help load it with the shipper of your choice. I will not make shipping arrangements, that will be the buyers responsibility. This truck also has a clean clear ***le. Please feel free to ask any questions. I am not open to any trades. A bank wire transfer is preferred for payment. This truck is also listed locally and this listing may end at anytime.
