I have to be a FB member to view it. Could you post some pix of the car? Thanks.

The listing is no longer on FB. It may have sold, or the owner mat have pulled the ad.
It was a more modern ch***is with the Riviera sheet metal. About the only pics were the outer body. Would have been a mess really quickly at tracks around here, way too ornamental to withstand any bumping or rubbing. That body doesn't transfer over to a race car very well.

The Coupes at Toronto, Canada Exhibition Stadium. Mid 1950's or so I would guess. This cl*** gave birth to the Super Modifieds of the late 50's early 60's.

You know, I think people get confused on this subject because there’s a difference between crude, and getting the job done and going racing. Robert and his father, like me and the people I raced with, understand that this type of race car is/was built to be raced, a lot! Underneath, they have state of the art components and construction typical for the era. 50s era, the cars were ***embled by a man who could weld, gas and stick, as that WAS state of the art. 60s cars pretty much the same, but probably a few cars were built with newer processes. We were still using stick and gas welding in the 70s and 80s as the more advanced technology was just too expensive for the home shop builders, me included.

As technology was advancing, and equipment became more advanced and affordable, more small shops could afford that technology. I bought my first mig welder in 1992. My first tig in 1999. However I still don’t build show cars. It only has to look good at 10 feet going by fast. And don’t look too closely at it. You might not like the fit and finish. But the last car I was involved with was a winner if not the best looking car ever.

I had a guy in my cl*** wad his car up, really tweaked the front of the ch***is. The solid motor mounts ripped a section of the engine block out.
