There are times I would gladly trade for the red Willys.

I was trying to get an idea what this might be worth, but im not getting any interest. I don't think it's legal to trade your wife, got anything else for trade?

I have to get rid of the car, id prefer keeping it intact, it's kinda cool. But ill have to take it apart to store it

Unfortunately 35-36 Willys aren't bringing the money that the fat bodies are, 33-34 are worth a little more but still a hard sell especially a sedan. I've owned many of them, I love them. Put it up for $16,000 and see what action you get. Good luck.

This is "version 2-0" of Code Blue Willys -33 AA/GS gasser. Among other changes now has a 354 hemi on alcohol. The engine origins from another Willys -33 gasser, Classical Gas. The car has been sorted out during 2023 and runs in the SVDA group A/Gasser (SVDA - Scandinavian Vintage Dragrace Association).

I would love to know the specifics of his tune up, I'm going to be running the same Crower injection on my 33!

Whatever happened to the K.S. Pittman '33? The "football" car was more successful.

Did the nose of that get stretched? I see six vent portholes. Stockers had five.

That looks to be well executed on a nose that changed shape in three planes.

  26. Sadly KS's 33 got wadded up.

For the SoCal locals like @jnaki and @jimmy six, check out the front of the grille area.
You'll notice Paint by Molly from La Habra and the notorious Johnny's Speed and Chrome Who had their store in the old Rexall drug store on Beach Blvd and Manchester Ave, in Buena Park.

    Hello,

In 1963-64, this 33 Willys from K.S. Pittman was brand new. It had some problems and did eventually get it right. Very cool looking and loud. Here is a video that I filmed of the Willys in the staging area and racing, sort of, against BJM.

If you play jnaki's video back in slow speed you can clearly see severe front tire shimmy for the last few seconds, which may be what jnaki was alluding to about problems early on. Death wobble like that is generally curable - or at least minimized - with adjustments to caster, toe, and adding a steering damper.
