Projects 51 Mercury

    Hello question has any one used the shoe box central 4 inch drop for front and 4 inch drop for rear on there mercury that would be 2 inch drop springs and 2 inch drop spindal . Also what size tire are most running on the mercury thanks

    My Merc tires are size 6.70-15 from Universal Tire. My Merc is only lowered 2" all the way around. 20231124_105754.jpg 20230802_164209.jpg

    I can't comment on the Merc but I think the Shoebox central lowering stuff, at least the rear is from Jamco. I used Jamco's lowering spring kit on the back of my 50 Ford with 2" lowering blocks and it does make the tires (6:70 15s with the original rear end) difficult to remove. If I removed the lowering blocks I think it would be fine.
    I used a Fat Mans lowering kit on the front with the original Fprd front end and it's fine.
