I do recall that.

 

My Dad bought one of those new, believe me it was anything but frugal on gas! Those turds were gutless as hell and even worse for fuel milage!

I've been looking for a pair of those plaid valve covers for a long time and I've yet to see one in the wild. Interesting for sure.

 

The darn thing looks straight and complete, good glass, too. @Maverick Daddy sees a lot of gems.

 

So, this last weekend, a fellow club member, and myself drove to Ringgold GA. To pick up a front clip for his pontiac. The yard was a former holding yard for a Packard dealership. After '56, it became a junkyard. They've unfortunately crushed several acres. My next few day's pics, are what is left. He is trying to sell everything, on Facebook marketplace, before the county forces his hand

 

Ringgold GA. First car we come to is this sad little Falcon. Someone used house carpet foam under the carpet, and the floors are completely gone.

Ringgold GA. Right next to the Frazer, was the largest group of early Rivieras I've ever run across. You might be able to assemble one good car.

 

Let’s see, original Henry steel, check. ‘39 rear axle with Zephyr gears, check Hilborn injected flathead, check. Paint by Roth, check. Upholstery by owner, check. And pinstriping by someone named Von Dutch.

 

Rat rod/ traditional build exterior staying the same or nearly the same but inside being updated to bomber style buckets, a set of bomber lap belts, 331 hemi, OD auto, quick change rear. Grille will likely be the only piece that's modern styled as I prefer the aftermarket units to the originals

 

Ringgold GA. Near the Riviera row, sat this obligatory Duece and a quarter. The front Sheetmetal all stored in a close lean to. Interior was better than nice

 

You would do well to NOT use the R*t Rod term on this forum....just sayin!
