    Good morning all.

I'm looking for information on Trautwein Products located at 992 Turnpike Rd., Cambridge, NY 12816. Can anyone living in or near Cambridge tell me if this Company is still in business and if so possibly help me get in touch with them?

I am helping a friend restore a 1937 Ford Station Wagon and he needs an Upper Tailgate window frame, literature from Ed Clarke (a Woodie hardware supplier) recommends contacting Tom Trautwein and gives a phone number. I have called the number and reached an answering machine, after leaving requests for information on ordering a frame and my contact info I have not received a reply.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Ted

I think the son is running it now. I heard the original owner p***ed away. I called to check on some frames for a 35-36 pickup and they said they weee still up and running, but that was probably 6 mo ago. I should have ordered 6 at the time.

waiting for chrome 32 5 window stock and 36 phaeton/roadster windshield frames to become available again. called a while back they were still in business but selective about what was available. I think a lot of old ford parts that were once being reproduced are done if you need something and find it you better buy it

I live just around the corner so I will make an attempt to go over to the shop and see what is going on. Will update on my return. I do know the father p***ed away and the son is running the business. My buddy up the road has been there many times so I will grab him and make a visit

Ask about 35-36 Ford pickup W/S frames if you have a chance.

Drove out to Tom's this afternoon. Shop was dark but open and the heat was on. Did not appear to be anyone at the house either so I came up empty this time. I have other contacts who can help me contact Tom so I have sent them a message. As soon as I hear I will update this thread.

update! Got connected this morning with Tom. He was out at a Dr. appt yesterday when we were there. 35-36 truck frames will be coming out in Jan..
Larry, Tom said he sent you an email. He has your frame setting there but has not received your money yet. Could you pm me your personal info and I will talk to Tom to ensure we are all on the same sheet of music. He may have you confused with someone else..
On a lighter note Tom has purchased a rolling machine from the estate of a man who used to make Ford Model A drip rails and will be making them soon.

Forgot to mention that I now have Tom's private direct line so if anyone gets in a bind let me know as I would be happy to help out.
