Watched the Taco Coupe run at Flaybob. Very impressive. The entire team was in white coveralls. The students and adult chaperones were all excited about the project. Their display was excellent with photos of the build and other info.
Just proves with enough determination and free labor anything can be saved. Used to save lots of loss causes years ago. Now I just buy better projects. lol Larry
I saw that rescued coupe at Wendover last summer. Charlie was deeply involved and is a really cool guy.
that's a cool story. this is the same guy that built another cool hot rod that ended up in a magazine with the new owner and they presented it as an old build just found when it was a new build with old parts.
“The kids were just in heaven. They didn’t understand that it would be that popular.” — Charlie Hascall
That's awesome...good on the whole teams effort...I wish we would have done something like that when I was in school...we had the smallblock though but nothing like that to put it in...so cool... Paging @anthony myrick...I'll bet he'd drive it...so would I...
