Uship.com or freightquote.com are good places to start.

I've used Reliable to ship some 32 roadster rollers I've built. I've heard they are getting more difficult to deal with but you might be alright with a coast to coast move. It'll be expensive.

I would be willing to hook up my trailer , toodle down to Central Point and back up to my shop since it is really too far for you. Thanks :D

  6. Nowadays with the price of diesel, it is going to be expensive. The Hamb-o-Dex haulers will give the safest and best personalized service, but most now (if available) will get $2.00 a mile. I too have used Bill Squires with excellent service. The big "load board" companies frown on a non running car, and the care and service is sketchy at times. I would look into freight type shipping, such as PODS if the car will fit, or similar. The best bet if in no hurry is to see if a fellow HAMBer is coming your way and has haul space.

  7. @BenD just hauled a non running studebaker from San Diego to Indiana for me. Give him a shout.

  8. Have you bought & paid for this in full yet ?

If not - you should hold off until you secure
transport directly with the person driving
the truck pulling the trailer unless you can
go after it yourself with your own equipment.

The Pacific Northwest is difficult to get into
with a vehicle drop off - COVID accelerated
folks working from home for their employer.
That means they could live where they choose
and a lot of them moved to Portland, Oregon
and north all the way to Blaine, Washington.

Those folks buy up available vehicles locally.
    There is not much demand
over the last couple years to haul into that area.

Most auto transport is indirect - involving
    multiple vehicle transfers between trailers
and outside yard storage - rollers are a pain
in the *** - haulers want to drive vehicles
on & off trailers - most trailers are not
    equipped with winches.

    Like any actual business owner/operator
with business expenses & overhead …
I have to drop off a vehicle relatively close
to one I am picking up to make it cost effective
    for me to provide service.

I exclusively ran a steel 30 tall custom enclosed
car hauler trailer that I designed but with
unprecedented #2 diesel prices I could not
    continue to run partly empty.

So I just put an all aluminum custom enclosed
car hauler trailer into use with a ramp door
that folds out to 11 feet.

    It has a 20 foot box and a 4 foot v nose.

It weighs 50% less than my 30 foot trailer.

    I picked up a 1910 Model T yesterday
in Lynchburg, Virginia & am on my way
to Topanga, California to drop it off
    for a repeat customer.

I am looking for a 30 foot tall enclosed
all aluminum coffin nose car hauler
but that is a hard trailer to find.

  9. Thank you @HOTRODPRIMER & @Bangingoldtin for the kind words!

Sorry I could not help you @Oldskool89 , but I was married Monday & left for my honeymoon directly after!

Oregon & Washington are very easy places to get transports in & out of! I have MANY great customers around the Portland area as well as north of Seattle & was up there at least 10 times over the last two years.

One of the other Quality, Honest Transporters I p*** along my overflow too just let me know he is looking for something coming out of that area :

David Robert Phelps (in the Hamb O Dex section) I trust him 100% with my customers that I cannot help. He is also a car guy, so he knows how to handle your new baby! Give him a call @ (724) 815-6266 Tell him I sent you!

    God Bless

I used David Phelps to bring a car from Georgia to Arizona. Nice equipment, car was in my driveway when I went outside to greet him. He's quick, safe, and did a great job. Calls you to let you know where he is daily.

  11. Not Surprised, but still great to hear!

I spent a lot of time vetting the small handful of guys I trust enough to send my overflow to. I take my reputation seriously & would never recommend someone who would tarnish it. Dave has done between 30-35 transports for my customers that I could not get to in a timely fashion. Not ONE complaint! Along with Dave.... Ben Delossiere (BenD), James (Rhinodart) Rhinehart, Larry Hann & Doc Schwarz have been taking care of hundreds of guys I can't & I trust them all! The common factor between them all is that they are life long car guys & know how to deal with all the different cars they see!

    God Bless

It's awesome that you're getting a '34 Ford shipped from Oregon to Syracuse! When it comes to shipping cl***ic cars, it's essential to choose a reliable company.
One excellent option is https://www.shipvehicles.com/. They have a great reputation for safely transporting vehicles, and they might be just what you need for this cross-country move.
Before making a decision, it's a good idea to get quotes from a few different companies to compare prices and services. Also, make sure to ask about their insurance coverage and any specific requirements for preparing your car for transport.
