Only the used grilles; the new ones they were selling were probably the infamous "Made in Argentina" gems.

If you could go back, what would you use to pay for the stuff? Surely, current bank notes would be viewed as counterfeit and of no use. The currency of the day is now considered collectable, and as such would be prohibitively expensive to obtain in any quantity and take back. Gold (or other precious metals)? Gold is currently around $1800 an ounce and was worth $35 an ounce back in those days, so that wouldn't be feasible either.

Tine travel is a conundrum and always will be. It's fun to ponder, though.

The past is better left in the past. We can look back at the good parts of it fondly. If everyone brought the good stuff back into the future, how good would it really be?

  17. Paper currency from the era wouldn't be worth much more than face value today. So, a trip to a coin show or two would do it. Vintage clothes, too. Probably, I'd want to see the Stones & The Who in concert.
Other than that, it would be the Chicxulub impact. Then exiting quickly...

For me, things like AM radios and bias ply tires won't be on that list!

A video of the life of Jesus Christ.
A video of those 55 men signing the Declaration of Independence.
A video of King George's reaction when he received the Declaration.
A video of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
A video of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. (Actually, multiple videos)
A video of the Roswell crash.
And I'd take a reliable witness with me.....like a Supreme Court judge.

If you look at the bottom of the page they have some “good used grilles” for $17 a pop. I would buy every 34 grille they had in stock ;)
