Another long time HAMBer gone. Mike was a respected member of this community and a life-long rodder who brought a wealth of knowledge and stories to this board. Condolences to his friends and family in this difficult time.
Every time I head down ol’ Hwy 99 to LA, I’d pass through Atwater and wonder what Atwater Mike was working on. I thought it would be cool touch base with him and arrange to stop by and actually meet him and see for myself. He had such a rich history in central California hot rodding, I could only imagine the stories he could tell. I put it off, and now he’s gone. There’s a lesson there…. Godspeed Mike, we’ll miss you.
Condolences to the family and friends in the passing of Hamber Atwater Mike...a sad day indeed, but also one to remember as many have mentioned, one who did the Hotrod/Custom walk in droves...I asked him once, actually more than once to share some pics. He confided that his ex had tossed his collection...I can only imagine some of the history that was discarded that day...from then on he was pretty private regarding images...but he had a way with words so he always painted a vivid picture regardless...he was one of those fellas that could have wrote a book about the culture...I feel very fortunate to have met him even if only virtually over the years... Rest in peace with some Hotrod mixed in Mike...see you again someday in the spirit that is beyond... Regards, Stogy
Wow, it's like getting punched in the gut... Mike was a great guy. My prayers are with all of his family and friends that are grieving his passing. As has already been said, the world is a poorer place with his passing. Godspeed Mike. I hope to see you on the other side.

The knowledge Mike has share throughout the years will live on within the Hamb archives , his pearls of wisdom will continue to influence the newcomers to traditional rods & customs, not to mention long time veterans will also benefit for years to come. RIP old friend. HRP
Damn I have known Mike since I was living in the warehouse in Redwood City. He was good people. He will be sorely missed by many. This is painful. I am sure I could throw some fancy words out about him but this is exactly what he would expect from me, "Damn it!!!!!!!!" Do me a favor, pass my condolences onto his family. I am so sorry for their loss.
