regular skull shifter knobs now sell for 750.00 and up from norm.

most used ones sale for 450.00 to 1000.00 depends on the style and when it was made.

table or desk models (skulls on a base) sell around 1000.00 to 2500.00

again depending on style and when it was made. norm numbered the first 100 desk models made so they are some of the hardest to find.

if the one you are looking at is a desk model better leave it on the base!

If he just sold a couple a month, that's a heck of a supplemental retirement income. I wonder how long it takes him to make them though. That would ain't cheap either.

...the new ones being the new smaller ones. They're half the size of the old ones...about 4 inches tall...fit your hand better.

This is the one I bought from Norm at the drags...

I paid $600 for this one a few years back when Norm was at the Turkey Run in Daytona. At that time, he had three sizes with him. Small was $400, medium was $600, and large was $800. The medium one I got is about 6.6" tall. I went without food for the rest of the trip.

  20. The knob 51ratt is referring to is a desk model on a base. It's posted on another forum.

  21. Here's mine I got from him about '96 or '97. I paid about $450, I think. He was selling his skull mugs for about $750 at the time....shoulda got one of those too, when they were "cheap"....LOL.

I'm an orthodontist, so Norm wanted me to make up a set of braces on posts so he could put them on the teeth. Sadly, never got the car ready to to mount the knob in, but finally have it in the works now...woohooo! Can't wait to have this thing looking thorugh the windshield of my Fleetline. The skull has been on my desk ever since I got it and it really scares the kids when I tell them if they don't wear their rubber bands they'll be in braces until they look like this...and I hold up the skull. :D Maybe I shoulda written it off as a business expense.....LOL.

It's worth whatever you think it's worth. I had Norm make mine personally for the car so mine is priceless and when he calls your house it really makes your day.

  23. Love these old threads that pop up in my searches , and I always like to post a pic of my current collection just for future search reference .
I’d say the value of these has certainly gone way up since the previously most current post in this thread in 2006 IMG_2928.jpeg IMG_2920.jpeg IMG_2916.jpeg IMG_2927.jpeg IMG_9574.jpeg
