I’m sorry but that thing makes me puke! It’s OK as someone’s survivor….. just not mine.

I'd guess Bonneville is a misnomer. Maybe Wendover former Stateline would be a better name.

Finished up the dash. I used the glovebox surround from my donor dash to repair the hacked up gauge area. This essentially makes it a 33 dash, but also gives more flexibility later when I’m installing gauges. Cut patches for a couple larger holes in the face and plug welded up some extra holes on the bottom lip. Made a roadster dash light bracket by using a closed car bracket with a piece sheet metal with a couple folds to mount it.

I made sure I took it out on the salt (piled in the back of my truck) before I brought it home

Good thing about the merry-go-round is they are getting harder to sell for what the old guys want for them…

I picked up a set of Phaeton rear doors at Hershey to repair the shortened doors. I removed all the wood and had all the doors media blasted. Started on the driver door, got the two halves stitched together and got as far as fitting a patch panel for the bottom two inches.

Beautiful work as always. That first pic with the new tin clamped on really made me wonder what was going on, but now I see it was an alignment template and it makes perfect sense. Phaeton doors have to be super rare, but I feel like this was an excellent use of them, to save those roadster doors. All original sheetmetal this way, too.

A long way to go, but more progress on the driver door.

I had planned on using new metal for the repair and came across the Phaeton doors for not a lot more than it would have cost me, and it’s nice to have the Henry steel. One of the doors had the wood still, so if anyone needs Phaeton door wi I’d, I have patterns.
