Yeah, but moving and building both start with getting my step van running! Lol.

I am hoping to relocate eventually but have grown used to making due. Not many young car guys in Vancouver. I don’t think any of my cars qualify for HAMB technically but they are all very basic. I have a 69 Checker, 78 Kurbmaster Jr, 80 Dodge Welles, and a third gen Firebird. I’m going to get into something else in place of the Firebird soon.

In the shower this morning I had a “moment of miraculous memory” as to why I had lost starter trigger power - I didn’t shift back into Park after getting everything back together. D’oh. Drove down there and reconnected the wires, put it in park and it started right up. This Danchuk 10-100 off-label starter repair procedure is confirmed to work for Inline 6s now, as it has previously only been documented on small blocks. Plus I get the 50s starter sound in my van… beefy

I'm a day late to the party and you probably have it done but you can cut metal to elongate a hole pretty fast with a chain saw file and they do make some bigger ones . They cut metal a lot faster and better than a rat tail file.

The one I did was a '68 Impala Custom Coupe using a '66 Impala crossmember. Taking the old one out was a cinch, it was about 90% rotted through...
