they just busted up a classic car chop shop in ohio around rocky river/ cleveland area. wonder if that story is related to this guy you are all talking about here? they haven't released any names yet, a few more people to pickup plus they don't believe they have the main guy yet.

I was also wondering about that, seems the thread started well after the names had been deceased. Wish the OP would have-would come back and let us know the details.

Whoever cashed your check had to sign it. I'd contact whereever the check was cashed and see if they will help. You can also file a complaint with the police in that area and provide documentation...and a few phone calls to follow up.
Due to a mistake (glitch) when purchasing something off Facebook, somehow my Paypal authorization ended up being "Metapay". I thought I had used Paypal like I always do. Found out I was wrong about that.
Did one of those online people searches (Find Someone). Turned out the name the guy used was a dead guy that he had gotten the guys personal info. He used to run a small car lot and I think thats how he got the guys personal info. Anyway, he scammed several people trying to stay under the Felony $$ limit...........but because he did it to several people the combined amount was enough for a Felony. Trooper called me shortly before Thanksgiving and told me that they had arraigned him...........

It helps if you gather all your documentation and communication and scan it so you can send it to the police in an organized manner. The police went to this guys house a couple times and he wouldn't answer the door. He had a very unique truck so it was pretty noticeable. One day as the police drove by, they saw his truck in a neighbors driveway.
Pulled in and asked the neighbor if the guy was there, and the neighbor said "Yes". Couldn't hide that time and then the neighbors saw him get arrested. On his Facebook site he portrayed himself as a loving family man with pictures of his kids and even references that he was a member of a Christian Hot Rod club..............when I talked to his ex-wife and his son...........found out what a POS they thought he was.

It's hard enough to get legitimate folks to be helpful (see Brookville-doors) so you need to look carefully at Ebay and other sellers. Do a HAMB check first so you don't have to post a warning later.

Well the seller (edit: Oops, I should have written, the original poster) has been on the Hamb on January 2023, long after this post has been hashed and rehashed, but for some reason has not replied to our pleas:
