It was Marcells. Says a lot about Boyd's shop that he cant chop a top for his own build!

Marcel's Metal Works in Corona, Calif. The only part of the show worth watching. I think I saw an early Ferrari coupe in the background of one shot.

It was some individuals name they kept using. I don't remember it, but his work was phenominal!

    Keep watching it'll run again.

Yeah... all 1 minute and 18 seconds of the chop... didn't show enough of it.

To defend Boyd (can't believe I'm going to...) with the deadlines they have to keep, it was a good managment decision. That way they had the time to redo the firewall 3 times...

  9. I remember a LONG time ago I thought his stuff was cool...Didn't he go bankrupt and get rich again?

    Marcel's Custom Metal.

They also built Boyd's Aluma Coupe – that body was an amazing piece of fabrication.

    Hahahahah. Poor Dan. That ****ed.

Did you hear Boyd say it was going to be a blend of traditional and modern? NO concept drawing yet, so I am scared of the outcome!

That was a super pristine 3 window too. Marcel's chop was pure art.

  13. I dont know about bankrupt.but the IRS nailed his *** big time..thanks to the xwife ratting himout...yep the old fat broad that ran the office...........Looks like he's gotta pimp his **** out to pay for the trophy bride...

No offense to anyone at the shop in particular, but I doubt they have the talent to chop a roof since Roy p***ed away.

yeah that was about as sad to watch as the impala that was perfect last year that they turned into a lime green monstrosity with no top and a bike to match just to show off the the marines out at palms.Whats worse I have seen a similar coupe on Craigslist denver that he coulda bought for 3or 4 grand and saved instead of riuining a perfectly good car.

Yeah, I agree, although I do think the chop looks good.

Why did they need to cut the floor out?

I disagree completely. I'm on the edge of my seat every time they send a project over to Gabe's for upholstery as well. :)

The ch***is they've been getting from Art Morrison for some of the projects are pretty trick too. I remember at least one project coming from a Tom Taylor illustration as well. So, what it comes down to, Boyd is really a General Contractor, isn't he?

They seemingly refuse to repair rust unless they absolutely have to, like the '40 convertible. "Boo hoo, we live in SoCal and you want us to repair rust? How do you do that??" ;) hahaha

  19. i haven't watched it in a while is there anyone still working there that used to work there in the first few shows

You guys should contribute to ******** Weekly. I love it when people think they know other's life stories as "matter of fact"...

  23. I am certain Duane is still barking orders. I haven't watched the show in so long I can't remember the last time I watched it. It got to be too much drama.

Hell, with the ch***is coming from Morrison, metalwork from Marcel's and interiors from Gabe's, Boyd has become "King of the Cake Decorators". Just like Paul and Pauly on OCC.
Just what I would want to do. Then have the privledge to pay those buffoons at Boyds $$$ bucks to slap it together in their traditional time crunch with no regard to the copious number of ****ups that occur during the pressure of trying to build and finish it yesterday.

Yea, it's funny to see Charlie and Mike on Foose's show. I can't believe Boyd is that much of an ***hole that people with experience wouldn't be giving their first born to work at his shop, at least for the resume. If he got a first born he would tear it apart and Boydster it anyways.
Anyone notice how big Boyd is getting again. Didn't he have that surgery a few years ago?

  29. Thats about the same time the IRS nailed him.....it had something to do with him takin the money from all the s**** metal from makin wheels and not reporting it as in come........story goes he had just dumped the fat old broad and was putting it to the now trophy wife...who knows ten years ago she might have been hot...........Now about hot dogs by floyd!:D

oh, I also liked how Boyd jumped in Thomas' hot rod (without his permission) and fired it up then did a burnout. Cl***y guy, that Boyd.

Its the only time I've seen him do a burnout.
