55 bel air hardtop. My first car bought at age 12 for 40 bucks. Went mild custom after attending the 82 Kkoa event in Des Moines. @anthony myrick would have liked its tail dragged attitude from having a c’d frame and 7”’s of lowering blocks. Please no scrub line sermons, thank you

haha, it was a tremendous mess, It was winter so I was hauling buckets of water from the house to the garage to mix the plaster. after it was finally smoothed out and fiberglassed the plaster was knocked out. I had a 20 foot open trailer and I had it piled pretty deep front to back with the plaster that was on the floor (maybe 6" thick) and the plaster from the body buck... big mess, big success!! you can see sort of a build thread here:

  8. All my personal before and after pics look the same. Basically.
Just maybe tires aired up and washed.
Except the bus. Shorter and a lot lower.

Love a good before and after thread. Here’s my before and current IMG_1507.jpeg buddys son originally bought the frame at a farm auction, I believe him cutting down the tree growing through the center was part of the deal. They were going to build a roadster with it but ended up with something a little further along IMG_1508.jpeg how it sits now. I think I’m some where near 50 donor vehicles total right now. Tiny tiny amount of aftermarket parts on it mostly hand made or reworked ford.

after a long pause recently I’ve dove back in and undone a bunch of my work but I’m thinking I’m gonna shoot for finishing it for the Gathering at the Roc…. Not 2024 though

The day I picked her up after a 40 year slumber (it is still in the family though) vs. present day. Same paint it wore in the early 70's.

Not yet finished as I have it all apart for body work and paint. I drove it one summer to work out any bugs before I took it apart again. Hopefully I'll have it ready to ride again this summer. scan0271.jpg scan0273.jpg IMG_1537.JPG
