Art & Inspiration Sitting and Rotting.............picture thread

  1. My buddy is trying to put one of those together, and I think it's way worse than this one. This one is pretty nice, I don't see any rust. My buddy's is more rust than metal.

It's for sale on FB Marketplace
, located around Alcester S.D.. No price, they're looking for offers.

  4. Thank you. I always stay away from the no price, make offer guys. I'll see if I can find the add and pass it on to my buddy. Who knows, maybe he can end up with it.

1952 FWD Model LD. It sat for years. My neighbor in WV bought it at auction for scrap. I had never heard of FWD. My neighbor passed away several years ago, at 65, massive heart attack. Happy ending for the truck, his Brother in law just sold it.

  7. That '56 panel is really well-preserved. Wouldn't do anything but get it mechanically safe and reliable and drive it. Maybe letter it for some business. Not many people know that the '48-'56 panel truck taillights are '41 Ford car taillights, just turned sideways.

  18. Ya know it’s got good bones from what I can tell. Yes, there’s a lot missing but at least it’s a solid( no large holes, gaping cracks that is) piece to start with.

This Chevy near me sits on a long unoccupied property. Not an Impala, trim around the tail so Bel Air?

I am thinking so. And it is a 4 door sedan as well.

  27. I can't believe anyone is dumb enough to scrap a 57 Chevy, even if it is a 4 door!

  28. That '57 Chevy looks like a basically solid car with just surface rust. People who disparage 4 doors just make them more affordable for those of us who like them. That's a buildable car, or at least it can yield a lot of good parts. If you build that 4 door, you'll have the same dash and steering wheel in front of you and the same view through the windshield as the guy with a BelAir 2 door hardtop.

The other advantage to a four door is that you can get laid easier than in a two door ;).

  30. And before you know it.....
