Chinn’s Cave House was literally built out of the side of a cliff in rural Kentucky just west of Lexington.
It was a small restaurant and gas station but they also secretively sold liquor and had gambling machines hidden in the back until the law found out what was going on.

Hempstead County,” the general store opened in Bingen, AR in 1871.
An unincorporated community in Mine Creek Township, Bingen (Hempstead County) is located about four miles northeast of Nashville (Howard County) and about twenty-seven miles northwest of Hope (Hempstead County). The growth and early history of the community are closely tied to Dr. J. R. Wolff.

A Google search showed a number of models were offered by Tote Gote. That's where I (surprisingly) found your reference to them.
I was thinking it could have been a Tule Trooper too but they were more of a step-thru design.
    Anyhoo, back on topic.

I found this "photo" Christmas card a long time ago. I have always wondered where the station was located. An internet search shows that there is a "famous" gas station in Springfield Illinois named Mahan's. However, that one is one of the very first gas stions in Illinois (1917). It was originally located between Havana and Easton Illinois on Route 136. Story and photos here:
    https://springfieldilhistory.wordpress.com/mahan-filling-station/

The "Mahan's" station in this Christmas card is a larger structure and is dated 1950. On the back it is signed "Harry (or "Henry?") and Alice". I am hoping someone on this forum might know where it was located or any other information about it.

    Thanks,
    Bill

This is a photo of the W. Haefner Auto Repair & Pioneer Oil Co. - Dixcel Gasoline gas station at 7934 North Broadway, St. Louis, Missouri on city Route 66. It looks like they towed and did all repairs. Apparently, they were originally located at Florissant and Branch Street and moved to this location about 1931. His first name was Wilbur and he had a brother, Conrad "Connie" Haefner who owned the Connie Haefner Auto nearby at 7823 N. Broadway. The two truck is a mid-1930s Chevy.
This photo was originally posted by Jill Cook on St. Louis, Missouri History, Landmarks, and Vintage photos, and additional information was gleaned from Vintage St. Louis & Route 66.

Here is an early photo of The West End station that opened in 1927 as Springer's Madison County Oil Co. Texaco station, 198 West. St., Edwardsville, Illinois in an earlier building that was angled toward the intersection it looks over along old Route 66. In 1936 the building was replaced and became a Mobil station and named the West End Service Station when the new yellow-brick building was built. Thomas Bar and Ralph Ellsworth operated it for some time before moving west along Route 66. It later became a dentist's office. The City of Edwardsville and Great Rivers and Routes Convention & Visitors Bureau worked together to save the building and obtain grants to turn it into a Route 66 Interpretive Center which is now open.
