  1. hey guys, I’m sure some of you know this- i just found out.
Nylint toys original founders granddaughter is working hard to bring back these awesome stamped steel cars and trucks that many of us played with as kids.
they hope to gain traction and sell enough to bring production to the USA.
they just released a limited production of a classic van and a cab over pickup!
    pretty cool!

Great news! The Pet mobile is one of my few surviving toys.

Nylint was always a slightly less expensive toy than Tonka, but were just as rugged built. I remember having a few when I was a kid, but not which ones. Buddy L was another brand I remember.
Kinda surprised metal toys like that can pass safety regulations. Probably different if they are sold as collectibles.
Really sad that they cannot even get them made in the US. Letting other places do our manufacturing is going to bite us in the butt someday.

  4. Ninety bucks for the toy seems a little steep for a comeback bid. I wonder why they chose that model. There is a book that tells a story of the van and pickup. That kind of coin buys a bunch of the as found toys that I enjoy.

  5. im not sure what costs $90 on their site- i just bought the combo of van and truck for $49
and seperately before black friday they were $64 each as a special editions.

Very cool to see toys like this come back. I still enjoy finding old beat-up ones and giving them a little custom restoration touch. trail3.jpg econ1.jpg econ3.jpg
