Not my thing, but I respect the work that went into it.

...Anthony...I get the first drive you next...:D

...Chopped, Lowered, Extended Roof aft, Altered trim, Shift rear end aft and alter quarters to suit, Full Paint, flames and window tint, shave hood and doors, continental gone, straighten bumpers, extend trunk, www's and tulip panel back...and of course get rid of the shed...;)

...I really hope we see this again taken to the next level some day...It has potential...

Anthony, thanks for sharing these survivors...Hard to believe this can be had for less than a stocker...

I would suspect they weren't really Custom minded, just liked the look of a continental kit with a twist... but they had someone pretty good at pulling that off...or they blew the budget on just the extension...

It says in the write up the original tail light pods are within...I really hope someone sees the Custom potential...the guy that has it is willing to axe it off...

  5. I think the idea was good, but the execution needs tweaking. In my earlier post, I alluded to the proportions of the rear quarters of the '58 Impala. I think if they hadn't been quite so extreme with the added quarter section, it would still look cool elongated. But, IMHO... they overdid it.

    Heat shields up in 3... 2... 1...

I think Extreme and Custom are kind of hand in hand...from mild to wild...mind you as alluded taking that one forward would be expensive but then again what in this business of fabbing, cutting and altering isn't...Many here trash them but that's because I suspect they generally aren't into them...Well intended Threads have taken terrible turns because of it...I still feel this 56 has potential and really appreciate it's capsule status...but very few were leave it as it is...myself included...

  7. Nice execution Stogy, in the completed and finished sense, not the bloody crime scene sense.

Drive it to a Tri-Five purest show... set up a lawn chair, cooler & a Go-Pro, sit back and enjoy the show! (Then post the whole thing so we can all laugh our asses off!)

Easy on the neck...a long slow gradual drive by, easing left to right head manoeuvre on viewing patrons preventing sudden sprains...it could become a health trend...Steeretch your Tri Five...

Stainless trim can be welded, ground and polished. A friend helped ad about 6 inches to the paint divider trim on my 56 ElCamino conversion.
