I’m considering flames on my t coupe. Any thoughts on layout to what may look the best any tips on layout?

I’m thinking a lime gold candy over gold metal flake?
    Any thoughts or input?

I love flames. Done them on 3 cars now. Just let them flow. Start at the nose and run them back as far as you want to. I did a bug first, so I kept them short and stubby. On my Dodge which had the length, I let them stretch all the way down the sides. For me personally, whatever flame (amount or style), They aren't complete without pinstriping. The lime gold candy over gold metal flake sounds bitch'n to me!

    Hello,

The T coupe will look good once the basics are changed. #1, the radiator grille it too high and needs to be stock height. The motor has to go as it does not fit. The headers look as if it were made for some other car and just stuck onto this motor. Those will improve the overall T-Coupe look. But, it looks as if someone put the coupe together without looking ahead for smooth consistent design parameters. The radiator top does not align with the body and ruins the smooth flow.

If you have to have that motor, once you get a nice stock grille, lower it to stock height, you might want to invest in a hood and side panels. The flames you want will only have to be on the short cowling and perhaps the door if you want to extend it back.

If you have the hood and side panels, then your palette is longer and now a smoother flow of flames, scallops and/or pinstriping outline flames can be added without overpowering the nice T-Coupe design.

If you have to have external headers, then get some smoother flowing ones, not a notched version that looks like they were made to clear a steering box or something else. (The smoother bend headers from a side panel/hood inclusion will give it a clean appearance.) Or the headers can go 4 into 1 under the hot rod to the back. Then the side panel can have a full effect of nice flames without overpowering the overall look of the coupe.

With different individual chrome header pipes under the hot rod, so the full flame effect is not interrupted, either.

I personally like the black version, but an all silver with light blue flames/dark blue outline is still on my mind and art drawing board… YRMV

What brand are the rear tires? I kind of like them.

  9. I can’t remember, but I’ll try to remember to check, they’re just a truck tire but kinda had a bias look and it helps to cut the gear a little since they are tall
