Bill Lawton in the Tasca Funny Car at Conn , I also recall seeing a 63 Fairlane at Conn but don't recall the driver I think it was John or Bill

Another Fairlane at Conn Dragway this is Bill Lawton driving the rare 64 Tasca Thunderbolt which I think 100 T-Bolts were built

    AH AH!! I got them.
You ask what is them?

I say a couple 8mm film clips from Connecticut Drag way and one from Charleston RI in the 60's that have been converted to AVI files.

I'll load them onto You Tube and post the links when I get some time

I don't expect anyone under 60 to understand  but then I am getting too old to remember! :p

Looking forward to the Charlestown air strip video. My son and I rode our bikes all around what is still there about 12 years ago, trying to see where the strip was.

Top two pics look like bill eckatroms cars the ones he ran before the willys and the Willy which I believe was raced by **** Doyle afterwards.
Don't know the Chevy from Bristol but I'll ask ,y dad he raced a D500 -a convertible in 56, ad knew most of the people from Bristol who raced.my uncle had a 58 Chevy so he probably knew this car. Love the raider wheels on that one and the color.

the kill doggy car ended up being Bob (the dog) Gaudreau who was freinds w my dad and Jeffrey Beals of memory motors. DRAG N RUN car club out of Bristol.

Boy seeing this brings back so many great memory's. For those of us who continued on after the track closed in early 85 with car related stuff one wonders what we would be doing today if the place never closed. Myself Im sure I would be racing each weekend in some type of fast roadster purpose built for the track. The short time i had racing at this track definitely helped my learning curve now as old age sets in and we still try to go faster and faster.

I owned the Pendleton and Pescarino (sp)Anglia.
It was just the body and frame, no suspension or running gear, gutted.
Kept it a few years and took it to the first a Thompson Speedway swap meet where I sold it I think for $800 bucks. Wild to see it here as I never took any pics of it when I owned it.
