Projects 49 plymouth coupe

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by 49 plymouth crazy, Dec 29, 2023.

  1. Does anyone know the length of the doors on the 49 coupe I'm making my 49 4 door into a coupe and would like to make the front doors close to the rite length

Early 49 or late 49? The body change over was delayed at Plymouth in 49. The late 49 cars were all new and were different then the early cars, The early 49s were 48 carry overs.

Buy 2 dr doors and then you'll know what else needs to be moved/altered/changed/redesigned.

If you really want to do a coupe conversion, consider the difference in wheelbase. The coupe, fastback, and station wagon are shorter than the sedan. If you just want a different looking car, just make it whatever you like.
