Does anyone know of a GOOD and HELPFUL transmission shop in Connecticut? I'm going crazy finding a slip yoke for an oddball overdrive transmission so I'd like to bring the trans to them and see if they can find one that fits but I don't know if there's any that are even worth trying.

Life was easier when Fleetpride in Hartford made driveshafts.

Basal’s Transmissions in Glastonbury has helped me a few times.
Connecticut Driveshaft in East Hartford has also been very helpful. They may have moved since I had them do some work for me.

Both are locally owned and customer oriented.

    Thanks AV8

I spoke with Basal's when I first got this transmission, not realizing how specialized it was...but they were very friendly, so I'll give a call back. I was a bit turned off when I told him that my goal was to add this Overdrive transmission to my 1930 Model A so I could cruise faster than 65 mph and he asked me if I was crazy- going that fast in a Model A didn't seem like a good idea. He also said that he mostly deals in automatics. They have great reviews and he seemed like he'd be helpful.
CT Driveshaft is where I plan to go. I've been talking with them about the yoke but haven't gotten anywhere. I got some part numbers from another forum so I'll see if those help at all.
