Great work and I .earned a couple of things. Did you mig or tig? The reason I ask is that I’ll be doing something similar on my 5W rear fenders.

Good to see the “original” Chevy engine was kept! LOL

I mig weld. You can’t go hog wild. Small welds and cool to prevent warping. Also really close gaps are key.

Wiring is underway. I have a cover over the carb, just not in the pic. Don’t want to drop anything down it. IMG_8222.jpeg IMG_8223.jpeg

perfect I have been getting one ordered up with him. Do you know if he narrowed it a bit to compensate for your disk brakes? Also did he just drop your steering arms as well?

It was not a stretch drop. I dropped the spindles myself.

Box is a Saginaw 605 P/S unit. Yes the pipes took some thought to route with the box/oil filter. I will take a pic for you.

Great job on the build! The front cowl inner fender patch, did you spot weld or plug weld on the fender well part? The blend on the rear fenders looks good.

Thanks! The front lower cowl was butt welded at the seams and plug welded where it meets the firewall/inner rocker patch.

I am using the cloth covered 12 circuit harness from Speedway. I am almost finished and the only issue I had was the dimmer switch and brake light switch bundles were not long enough to reach the switches. Everything else was more than long enough.

Heat them up red hot with a rosebud tip and slowly move them to where they need to be. Let cool on their own.

Been following along on IG, but glad you posted the build thread here. Really nice save on this one, and the overall look and stance is perfect. Well done!

Thank you very much. First time firing that crate engine up was today and it did not disappoint.
