Jan 6 1955 I figure it was build late in the day as its at the high end of that days VIN list. Built in Baltimore, but it must have come to Ca. early as it has no real rot.The car"s 6 months older than me.
Thursday, January 20th 1955 my hardtop rolled out of Baltimore. It must have been pretty, turquoise and ivory V8 model. Ive been picking at it, this winter more progress.
Hey Mark do you get Old Cars Weekly?!? They had a really good article on the topic of 55 Chevys. They were showing some of the pre production stuff that they were working on in ‘53 through ’55. The design they showed had the ‘54 grille and a slightly different side trim that only made a half a loop and not going all the way back. They also showed some pics of a test mule and several clay models that didn’t make production. If you want I’ll see if I still have it here and post the article for you guys
There is one less. So no Birthday cake for this one. Maybe just a couple seconds of silence. A Nash ran a stop sign, and we broadsided him. Dad then bought a new 57. I'm the cute kid with the flat top.
Your mom and brother, though, were really cute! But you coming in 3rd place still got you on the podium so that ain't so bad.

Tarrytown New York on Monday May 30, 1955. The same day as the 1955 Indy 500. Yes, it's originally all black from the factory.
