Hot Rods Old 1932 Ford Tudor hotrod I drug home

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Jan 3, 2024.

  1. Late last week I bought this neat old sedan that’s been sitting since the 60’s/70’s. I knew about the car and had talked to the guy about selling but he never wanted to. Out of the blue I got a text from him saying it was for sale, so like a sucker I went and got it. Old red paint and a unique red and white interior that at some point got painted black. Has an old CA plate on the back. No engine/trans, rear fenders and grill are gone. Has chrome garnish moldings, F1 steering, old dropped axle, 50’s GM rear end. I’d guess it had an OHV and maybe an automatic in it. I dunno just a neat old car that needs to be put back on the road.
Today I put some better rollers on it and mocked some sheet metal on it. Great canvas to build a bad ass hot rod

  3. I can see how the interior would look in red and white.......awesome (the black doesn't do it justice). Again you're the master at finding great old cars, going to enjoy this thread.

    Congrats!!

  9. Put rear fenders, and new tires on it, and you are almost ready to go. Enjoy it, body wise as it is, re-power it, and drive it.

You could have at least given it a proper wash instead of leaving it out in the rain. It deserves that. Great find, will follow along on the build.
Just do as @nickthebandit says and put an engine and trans and a few accessories in it and you're ready to go. I bet you've got something suitable tucked away in your shed or know where to find them.

That looks like a nice solid car to build, no rust to repair.

Good score! That sedan deserves to be resurrected. And you’ve got the eye to do it.

  19. Man Chris, you have a nose for finding them! Isn't there a '32 5 window in your collection waiting for your touch as well?
