Projects Flat FED build

  1. Yea Dale the one head is toast but I have another ol Evans I just have to hog out. I tried running alky but could never get her to run right so went back to gas last year. Those aren't cracks they are melted aluminum valleys....... and yes been using Cometic for the past 5 years love um.
    Tom hope to see ya at Eagle we will be fixed and running by then......tell Patty we said HI!!!!

    Sorry to say we're going to miss Eagle once again. Had far too much going on lately and totaled the truck last week. We're OK, but it's sort of one of those "set backs" we weren't expecting.

  12. Hey Carl - where did you get that cutter you're using to fly-cut the valve pockets? I need to get a couple of them for a set of heads I need to rework a bit! Best of luck on the "fixing" of all your stuff . . . I get the deal, seems I do a lot of that as well. ;)

  13. God Dale, I've had that for almost 20 years now, If I remember correctly I special ordered it from a tool maker online with the radius bottom I'll try to look through my paperwork .........
    OOPS I'll be damned just found it!!! 2007, Burchett Quality Tool Ltd. 1-7/8 End Mill add Flat, can't read price as its blacked out. But has been well worth the cost whatever it was......hope this helps

  25. Well still at it to get the digger back on the strip, had a bad case of Covid if that ain't bad enough, still hoping the killer of My Crew Chief and his wife, (my sister in law) gets punished to the max! But for now its back to the grindstone and waiting for new parts still.

  26. Hey Carl, just saw your post about losing your Crew Chief and his Wife . . . boy does that hit yah in the gut. Just hard to imagine two folks gone in an instant. My heart goes out to you, their family and all who knew them. Hang in there buddy!

  27. Thanks Dale we appreciate all he thoughts from everyone it was a real tragedy, and an avoidable one at that. Guy was on the wrong side of the road and speeding who hit em. Naturally I'm pissed.
