I've put RatFink stickers on the back windows of my daily drivers for years... this one is about done.
Bought this one from Big Daddy at Detroit Autorama back in the day and it's still in my photo album waiting to be stuck on something.
You know, I grew up in the 6-'s with the Rat Fink, but I never have really understood who he is or what he represents. Any ideas?
In the 60's we young guys all used the expression "rat fuck" ; not around our parents though. Roth obviously couldn't market that so he invented the rat fink. Everyone knew what it meant, but it slipped by the censors.
I can only speak for myself. But I was a car crazy kid in the 60's. I liked drawing cars , and building models. So it wasn't about any kind of rebellion. I was just being a kid, and having fun. Mickey was more for the little kids. But Rat Fink was so much COOLER, and he even had my initials too. What's not to like about monsters, and Hot Rods!!!
