Less than 2 weeks to the Pileup

An entire weekend of Rods, Music, Beer, Rods, Music, Beer, Rods, Music, Beer......... sorry it got away from me there. Heading up from Peoria on Friday.

 

I've still got to get my wheels done, get my front tires on and possibly even shoot some sort or paint/primer on the duece! Damn not much time and no money to do anything!! Can't wait though. We'll be making the haul up I-55 on Friday morning from Edwardsville IL. See you all there!

 

well... if you get there early, come by the Fairgrounds and help us set up.

I talked with Nick last Sat. He said we would leave at 9AM or so. Are you good with that? I thought you had a cl*** on Friday morning.

Sorry I didn't get back with you on weather I was going or not. I am definately not going to be able to make it. Too much stuff going on. Have a good time and enjoy the accomplishments of that *****in coupe. I will surely see you some where next year.

Apparently we left something off the Pileup site... gates open at 9am. Bands start at Noon with the Bottletones. Friday and Saturday nights the bands start at 9pm.

 

we been working our ***es off trying to get a 51 chevy ready for the pile-up. we been up till 2 am for weeks now....it spilled its guts out of the stock 6 the day before dean run. just days after getting a 5 speed,camaro rear, paint and new rubber. that was a bummer. she`s getting a v8 now. i`m gonna debut my 51 chevy truck at las vegas. breakin it in right..

 

oh man. I gotta instal my heater, hook up my horn, and install my stereo.

I know i know, none of that stuff is traditional,,,,,,,right? ha, too bad your not the one driving it!

We are also tryin to find lildeuce some wheels so he can put the bias plys on, we arent having much luck though.

 

I got my buick runnin finally this week. Hopin to get all of the little stuff done now for the pilup and hope nothing major pops up

 

Gotta get the car aligned, Get teh gas tank back in it, put insulation and carpet in, and pop the door panels back in, and we should be good to go...

maybe ill get the bellflowers put on it.

 

I think i owe you a few beers when we get there for the wonderful screw thingies.........staying at the same hotel as last year????

 

ahh, dont worry about it man. No. We are staying at the comfort inn this year. but isnt that where you stayed last year?

 

Burning the midnight oil to help all my bro's get there **** ready! Im just waiting on my seat to get back from being recovered.....

Me too!!!! First time at the pile up, but have heard nothing but good. Always had another show booked that weekend, but kept it open this year. Looks like I'll be driving up from S.E. Illinois alone...does anyone need a ride?

I've got to get my snowmobile suit outta mothballs, my longjohns washed and my mittens with the matching wool hat unpacked from summer storage.

 

it's supposed to be in the 60s this year... but we'll let the weather in even if it's over 64.

 

Wasn't it suppose to be in the 60s last year, right up to a day or two before the show?

It was 84 here yesterday, but the temp started dropping around 7 this morning and the wind picked up, was a mighty cold 61 late this afternoon. Felt almost like last years pile up. I'm bringing WARM clothes, rain gear, boots, and wearing a tee shirt, just in case. Just about as bad as getting ready for the Jefferson swap meet. Bring everything, you might need it all before the weekend is over.

Yeah I'm pissed at YOU!! No just kidding, I've just been real busy trying to get my coupe ready and plus I'm goin to Talladega tomorrow so I'm losing a weekend of work on it too. I've still got to finish my wheels and then I have to see if I will get in with the way the coupe looks now, cuz if not I'll have to shoot some primer or somethin on it.
