Hi i have a nos in the orginal box Grant Flamethrower distributor that i would like to run. My question is would i have do anything to it being it is nos. My concern is that whatever grease or lube was used when it was assembled is now 55 years old. Any thoughts or help ???? Thanks
I'm sure it's mint, Only thing I would check are the points, make sure there not oxidized, lil 600 grit paper, Rock&Roll..$ Got a pic of it an the box?
I recently put an unused one with minor shelf wear into one of my cars, put quite a few miles on it with no issues. They are fantastic distributors
you can barely make out the mechanical tach drive jim added the recess in the firewall sort of reminds me of homer simpson with square ears
Holy jeebus! I've got one of those oil filter housings but I've never seen that type of cast Valley Pan. And those early Mt covers are pretty rare
All Mickey Thompson pieces 1964 If you’re looking to sell the oil filter I know someone that’s looking for one
Yah, that poncho dist is reverse-rotation, perfect for a Stude. & my one of projects. Problem: there isn't enough money in the world to make that happen. I almost drooled my keyboard into shorting out looking at that pic... Boy, that looks nice... Maybe someday I can make a lookalike(read: "fake"), that'll work ok. . Marcus...
I was recently given a Grant Flamethrower for a SBC, I'm a little afraid of it. Not to sure if I want the hassle. Anyone still work on these?
Love the look of them,,,,I rebuilt one of mine ,changing rotation and making an adaptor to fit the Cad engine.
