I picked up the top section of a 1000L IBC which fitted the door perfectly. I soaked the door in Citric Acid for a few hours, and gave it a hit with a wire brush every so often. Very pleased with the results.

Wow, that works great. How long did it take?

It was 5 hrs....I gave it a buzz with a wire wheel on the drill. I then used some deoxidine to prevent flash rust. I will epoxy the inside after a thorough clean and then tackle the new skin.

    I used 1 cup/10 Litres of water.

Keep up the good work...it's doable. I remember making a similar bathtub, only with vinegar. I did the passenger door first, so I could learn when I did the driver's door.
