another good (but possibly overpriced) place to look is the army surplus stores-- the one here has a pretty good selection, but they are deffinately making their profit from the knives. keith
Here's a pretty one....... Follow the links around from here.... http://www.customknives.com/charlie_dake_jm.htm
Got a pic of the second one you bought? I recall the other discussion, isn't that knife in your picture a switchblade? Considered "automatic"? Here's my Stiletto
We sold all kinds of knives for over 20 years at flea markets/car shows, and you wouldn't believe the huge markup. It's even higher than jewelry and eyegl***es. That stilleto you bought looks just like the switchblades I used to have in my 14 year-old hoodlum days. There's a place called "Country Knives" about ten miles from here, in the tourist area, that has the most incredible ***ortment of knives I've ever seen.
I just picked up this Gerber for kayaking and while I was there I thought I needed a new set of throwing knives so I got these with a wrist sheath
After your first topic,I've been looking to buy a straight razor...I figure chicks dig scars,if nothing else it makes for great conversation peice... Do you plan on buying any other knives? If so what?
oh tingler ................. anyone else remember the "im NEVER dealing with new vehicles anymore!" post
i have a relative in sweden that knew i had a thing for knives, so every so often he would make and send me a knife when i was younger. i can tell you that the craftsmanship of them is just amazing and i have never held a knife that was sharper. they are a**** my most prized possessions.
Somewhere in my 'stash', I have a knife that the blade is spring loaded and 'pops' out of the end when you push a ****on and locks. Press the ****on again and push the blade back into the handle.
When I was in Germany a "stilleto" was a blade that came straight out the end and a "switchblade" was an automatic that opened like a pocket knife. I should have bought some and brought them back. The Army could have shipped them for me if I hid them in my stereo or something.
anyone know a place that can fix old switchblades? I have an old one of my grandpas that doesnt stay locked closed anymore...
Friend of mine brought back souvenirs from a trip to Norway, and gave me a most excellent sheath knife with a bone handle and a hefty blade that's wicked sharp. The switchblade that I had (and lost) was also a gift from a friend. Tingler, you need to just sit back and wait, I'm sure a friend will hook you up. But remember, folks, there's an old custom where the giver includes a coin with the gifted knife, so as not to "sever" the friendship.
