I have been having some lower back pain and some blood in my urine, so the Ulrogist sent me for some imaging, found out that I will be having surgery to remove a small cancerous lesion from my bladder, also the imaging showed I have early stages of congestive heart disease so keep me in your thoughts and prayers for a positive outcome.
Damn Jeff, wishing you the best on whatever treatment they decide on. So far I have had good luck with the cancer free thing but not so lucky with the heart. I am fine now, can do anything I want to, drive anywhere I want to, just do it slower than before. I can live with that. Mark
I'm also praying for you to fully recover. I've also been fighting cancer, since last June, so I understand what may be going on, in your thoughts. Take good care of yourself.
I had a m***ive heart attack in 2016 and a byp***. I had AFIB for a very long time, finally got that resolved a few months ago. I turn 69 in a few weeks. Like our old cars, the check-engine light comes on more often as we age. Good luck to you.
Sorry to hear about your diagnoses my friend, none of us want to hear news like this but you can rest ***ured you have a lot of friends that will have you in their thoughts and prayers in the weeks to come. Lets keep positive thoughts. HRP
I have learned that early detection is key, my wife is a three time cancer survivor. If something is wrong, even if it seems small, get it checked out, we are are like these old Fords our parts do wear out and need fixing. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
As Jeff said early detection is important. My PSA was up and my doctor recommended a biopsy of the prostate. My initial thought was to give it a little while since the procedure didn't sound pleasant. But I went ahead with the biopsy and they detected cancer and so I was able to get started on the treatments early and so far the PSA has been down. None of the process was pleasant but early detection was crucial. So all y'all be sure to have your PSA checked annually and take action if needed. I'll step down from my mother hen soap box now.
Well wishes for a full recovery Jeff! Hang in there and stay positive! We all have you in our thoughts. Cant keep a car guy down!
Hang in there Jeff. You can do this. I have my own issues I'm dealing with. Growing old ain't for the weak.
Glad it was caught early. I'm not a religious man, but my best wishes and hopes for a full recovery. I had a scare two years ago. I woke up one morning with an apparent enlarged prostate.......full bladder but couldn't pee. Long story short.... turned out to be an allergic reaction to a new allergy medicine I was trying (Clarentin D). Went the full route, dictated by elevated PSA levels. Biopsy, MRIs (twice), x-rays. Turned out I'm one of a small percentage that naturally has an elevated level, and after all those tests, there was not found even a hint of anything wrong. My thoughts are with you Jeff. Just remember modern medicine is amazing.
I found out after having elevated PSA and seeing the urologist a couple of times if you ride a motorcycle to get your test done, you will have an elevated PSA. My doctor laughed when I told him that I rode my motorcycle to get the test done and then said "turn around and bend over, I'm still going to check." I'm a cheap date.
Sorry to hear, I’m glad you caught it early. We’ll keep you in our prayers. My dad had the same scenario happen when I was young he had a normal 40 yrs or so cancer free. All he had was the surgery, it never come back and that was way before “ modern medicine “.
