Making a deal on a 1956 Chrysler New Yorker station wagon.Has the 354 hemi in it with 40,000 miles on it and zero rust including original paint.A customer of mine,he has it for sale and knows I want it .Good price on it and I plan on putting performance parts on it,Hemi hot heads is where I am going to buy them from.Plus I know I know the interchange,Chrysler only on the 354 hemi parts. The customer knows I am a diehard Mopar fan and knows I will keep it all Mopar.Getting back to me later today if he accepts my offer

Good thing is I do not have to mess with
the brakes, suspension and tires. The brakes are new and parts in the front end including the bushings have been replaced. The tires were replaced due to the originals were dry rotted

Hope you get it. Can’t be many of those left, especially in the condition you describe.

Best wishes in the quest. Sounds like a good plan and will be a fun cruiser.

Those were great donor vehicles back in the day. Now they seem to be popular as restoration projects and cruisers. Love it when I’m at some hot rod event and that type of car rolls up and a herd of pin-up girls come out of them. Big hairdos and pink poodle skirts put big smiles on everyone’s faces (even the grumpy old farts). :):):)

That is a really nice score especially with knowing the history of the car and most of the persnickety things have been taken care of. Please post some pictures when you get it.:)

Good luck on the New Yorker. I'd love to get one of the big Chryslers to tow my dragster.

I'm so happy for your potential purchase because these cars are so cool, especially the wagons and can be a real canvas, so to speak, but if it was me...............
An underhood full of HH laden pretty parts ****s the soul right out of a hemi.
    My 13 cents.

Those are great cars! Hopefully the chrome is good! One of 1,135 built and only about 40 known to exist.

Hope you are able to get the car. Nothing cooler than a Hemi powered mid-50's MOPAR wagon. 326F2E26-7320-4259-B70A-1D6C85B8DFE0.jpeg 15A1E437-C73F-49CF-A4D2-85652548AEAB.jpeg
